Meet The Trainer
Kathy Pierre, owner and head trainer at Nova Pet Academy is a passionate trainer with 2+ years of professional experience and over a decade of animal care and training behind her. Kathy has completed her Diploma of Canine Behaviour Science and Technology, and earned her CPDT-KA certification. Her passion for learning and animals is now leading her on the path to vet school.
Her love for training and dogsports in general started at the age of 14 when she started training and competing in Agility with her family’s cocker spaniel. Now with her 5-year old rescue, Nova, Kathy trains and competes in agility and scent detection.Â
Kathy is dedicated to treating all her pets and clients pet with nothing but patience and kindness, using science-based positive reinforcement methods, you and your dog will fall in love with training just as Kathy has and build an unbreakable bond.
